Days of My Life

What is darkness but the absence of light,
Seems like I cant get anything without a fight,
Was this just meant to happen, was it in the stars,
Or is all this just a myth, is all this just a farce.

As I walk this journey called life,
wondering what's in store for me next,
There comes a sudden shock to me,
Something that I didn't expect.

Where have all my pals gone,
They were all here just a while ago,
I tried to question everyone around me,
But nobody seemed to know.

Well then I tried making new friends,
Out of past acquaintances and more,
It wasn't as easy as I had thought it to be,
So tough to forget the days of yore.

I hate to say that I've given up now,
But I've decided to let my fate have it's way,
While I try to cling onto the things that I have,
While I try to save them from slipping away.
